The Hendrichs drop forge is open on 1 May from 11 am to 6 pm.
The Gesenkschmiede Hendrichs (Drop Forge) offers numerous options to go on a tour of discovery. Many machines, tools and other relics can be better understood in their original context. The working life and traces of the hundred-year history of the factory come alive in a special way. The exhibition gives a better understanding of the history of the cutlery industry between craftsmanship and factory. Daily short guided tours provide a fascinating introduction here.
It is also possible to discover the factory and the company villa independently with the aid of an audio-guide. These audio-guides can be loaned free of charge in English, French, Dutch and simple language.
In the grinding shop you can have your worn knives and scissors re-conditioned. During the opening hours, the drop hammers and other machines can be experienced in action at regular intervals.
The wide range of events offered includes public guided tours on Sundays, evening guided tours, Diesel Days, Jazz Concerts and exciting temporary exhibitions
